Anti-Bullying Program at Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Mountain House

Empowering Kids with the Confidence to Stand Up to Bullying

At Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Mountain House, we believe that the best way to prevent bullying is to equip children with confidence, awareness, communication skills, and practical self-defense. Our Anti-Bullying Program teaches children how to respond appropriately to difficult situations while developing the character and resilience they need to succeed both on and off the mats.

Our program is built around three simple but powerful principles:

πŸ—£οΈ Talk

Children learn the importance of communicating confidently and respectfully. Through guided discussions and age-appropriate role-playing, students practice expressing their feelings, resolving conflicts peacefully, and building empathy for others.

πŸ™‹ Tell

We teach children that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Students learn how to recognize bullying behavior, identify trusted adults, and understand when and how to report situations that make them feel unsafe.

πŸ›‘οΈ Take Action

Children develop practical self-defense skills while learning that physical techniques are always a last resort. Our instructors emphasize awareness, avoidance, confidence, and making good decisions before physical confrontation ever becomes necessary.

Students also learn how to:

  • Build confidence under pressure

  • Maintain awareness of their surroundings

  • Set healthy personal boundaries

  • Stand up for themselves respectfully

  • Support classmates who may be experiencing bullying

Building Confidence Beyond the Mats

Our Anti-Bullying Program develops much more than self-defense skills. Through consistent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, students naturally build:

βœ… Confidence

βœ… Focus

βœ… Discipline

βœ… Respect

βœ… Emotional resilience

βœ… Problem-solving skills

βœ… Leadership

These life skills often carry over into school, home, and everyday situations, helping children become more confident and responsible individuals.

Parent Progress Viewing System

We believe parents should be part of their child's journey.

Our exclusive Parent Progress Viewing System allows families to securely observe classes and watch their child's confidence, focus, discipline, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills develop over time. It's another way we partner with parents to celebrate every milestone and support each student's growth.

Anti-Bullying Awareness Month

Each year, we place an even greater emphasis on bullying prevention with a focused Anti-Bullying curriculum. Students participate in interactive discussions, real-life role-playing scenarios, confidence-building exercises, and practical self-defense training designed to prepare them for situations they may encounter at school or in everyday life.

Our Commitment to Families

At Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Mountain House, our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment where every child can grow with confidence. We work closely with parents to help children develop the skills, character, and resilience needed to face life's challenges with courage and respect.
