Anti-Bullying

Program Description for Parents: Charles Gracie Mountain House Anti-Bullying Initiative

"Empowering Your Child to Talk, Tell, Take Action Against Bullying"

Dear Parents,

We are excited to introduce the Charles Gracie Mountain House Anti-Bullying Program, designed to empower our children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to address and prevent bullying. Our comprehensive approach is centered around the three key principles: Talk, Tell, and Take Action. This program is tailored for children of all ages and provides them with practical tools and strategies to deal with bullying in a constructive and positive manner.

Program Overview:

  1. Introduction to Bullying: We start by educating children about what bullying is, including its various forms such as physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. Our goal is to help them understand the impact of bullying on individuals and the community.

  2. The First T: Talk: We encourage open communication and provide role-playing scenarios to practice talking about feelings and experiences related to bullying. Activities are designed to build empathy and teach peaceful conflict resolution skills.

  3. The Second T: Tell: The program emphasizes the importance of reporting bullying. Children will learn to identify trusted adults they can turn to and will be guided to overcome any fears associated with telling.

  4. The Third T: Take Action: This includes basic, age-appropriate self-defense skills, with an emphasis that physical response is a last resort. We also focus on advocacy, leadership, and creating a supportive community.

  5. Continuous Learning and Support: The program includes regular check-ins and workshops for parents and teachers, ensuring a community-wide approach to combating bullying.

  6. Evaluation and Feedback: We value feedback and conduct regular assessments to continuously improve our program.

During Anti-Bullying Month, we will intensify our efforts with a focused curriculum on anti-bullying, including interactive role-playing activities. These sessions are specially designed to provide real-life scenarios for children to practice the skills they learn, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle bullying situations.

We invite you to join us in this important initiative. Together, we can create a safe and supportive environment for our children to grow and thrive.

Warm regards,

Charles Gracie Mountain House
